Please be aware, there is only short term parking available in the bottom of the village. This is situated on the high street where you can load / unload for 40 mins but which is just around the corner from The Endeavour. Therefore for the duration of your stay you have the following options:
Firstly, the public car park at the top of the hill which is £6.60 for 24 hours, if you pay by the app, or £6.00 if you pay at the machine. This car park is also free of charge during the winter months of November to March.
The other car park on the right hand side is privately owned and is £10 for 24 hours.
Alternatively, we do recommend Glen Vale Long Stay car park which is monitored by CCTV, is slightly closer and can be pre-booked in advance for the duration of your trip, meaning no wandering up the hill to feed the meter! You can reserve a space on their website www.parkingstaithes.co.uk
Food and Drink
There are two fantastic pubs in the bottom of the village, The George on the high street and The Cod and Lobster by the harbour. While both offer hearty pub fare, the Cod also has a varied seafood menu and The George offers roast dinners on a Sunday.
In addition there are several cafe’s and tea rooms serving sandwiches, cakes and sweet treats whilst Cobbles also offer Artisan takeaway pizza’s on a weekend.
Further afield in the surrounding moorland and coastal villages you are spoilt for choice with cozy pubs, bars and restaurants and we would be more than happy to recommend some of our favourites.
