It’s the simple pleasures we love most in Staithes, from long cliff-top walks, rock-pooling and fossil hunting along Yorkshire’s Dinosaur Coast or grabbing a line and bucket for crabbing off the harbour walls and finishing off the day with a fish and chip supper.

Fishing and wildlife-watching charters can be arranged from the harbour (Dolphins and Whales can be seen in the summer months if you are lucky), or keep your feet on dry land and learn more about Staithes rich art and historical heritage at the Captain Cook Museum and local art galleries.

The Endeavour also offers a relaxing base from which to explore the plethora of attractions within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and surrounding areas.  Saltburn, Runswick Bay, Sandsend and Whitby are all just a short distance/invigorating walk away along the Cleveland Way National Trail or head inland to Goathland (home of Heartbeat and Hogwarts railway station).

There are a couple of great pubs serving food and drink in the village as well as cafes, tea rooms and takeaway artisan pizza, or we are more than happy to provide recommendations for the many fabulous pubs and restaurants in the wider area.
